Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has voiced profound sorrow over the suffering of civilians in Iran, emphasizing that Türkiye stands in solidarity with those affected by the ongoing conflict. He stressed that innocent people, especially children, are paying the highest price.

Speaking on Monday at a public event in Ankara, Erdogan said Türkiye shares the pain of the Iranian people. He described the humanitarian situation as heartbreaking, noting that civilians continue to endure the devastating impact of violence.

Erdogan reaffirmed Türkiye's commitment to intensifying diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving an immediate ceasefire. He pledged that Ankara would strengthen its contacts and negotiations until calm is restored in the region.

He made it clear that Türkiye positions itself firmly on the side of peace. According to the president, the country desires an end to bloodshed and suffering, hoping the region can finally experience the stability it has long sought.

The Turkish leader highlighted that securing a ceasefire remains Ankara's top priority. He added that creating an opportunity for constructive dialogue is essential to resolving the crisis peacefully.

Erdogan warned that failure to intervene swiftly could result in grave consequences for both regional and global security. He stressed that prolonged instability would deepen tensions and create further complications.

Concluding his remarks, he cautioned that no nation can withstand the economic and geopolitical uncertainty such a conflict would generate. For this reason, he insisted that the flames of conflict must be extinguished before they spread any further.
