The U.S. Embassy Abuja has issued a security alert to American citizens over possible protests in Abuja on March 4, 2026, linked to the ongoing conflict involving Iran.

The Embassy warned that previous demonstrations by some groups have led to violent clashes with Nigerian security forces. As a precaution, U.S. citizens in Abuja have been strongly advised to remain indoors and avoid protest areas.

Citizens are also encouraged to stay away from crowds, monitor local media for updates, keep a low profile, carry valid identification, and remain alert in public places.

The Consular Sections in Abuja and Lagos remain open, while further updates are expected through official embassy channels.
