Iran President Pezeshkian Apologizes For Attacks On Neighboring Countries

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has publicly apologized for recent attacks carried out by Iran against several countries in the Middle East. He said the government regrets the incidents and assured neighboring nations that such actions would stop. According to him, the attacks may have happened due to misunderstandings or communication problems within Iran's military ranks.

The apology was delivered through a prerecorded message that was broadcast on Iranian state television. The message came after reports of missile and military attacks early Saturday targeting countries such as Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

During the address, President Pezeshkian directly expressed regret to the countries affected by the attacks. He said he was apologizing both personally and on behalf of the Iranian government. He emphasized that Iran values its relationships with neighboring nations and does not want further tensions in the region.

The president also revealed that Iran's temporary leadership council had discussed the situation and made an important decision. According to him, the council agreed to suspend any further attacks against neighboring countries. This step, he said, is meant to calm the situation and prevent the conflict from spreading further across the region.

However, Pezeshkian explained that the suspension of attacks would only remain in place if Iran is not attacked by those countries. He stated that Iran would only respond with force if another nation first launched an attack against Iran.

The Iranian leader also addressed demands reportedly made by the United States for Iran to surrender unconditionally. Pezeshkian dismissed the demand strongly, describing it as unrealistic and saying it was simply a "dream" that would never happen.
