Saudi Arabia's bottled water industry is growing rapidly, fueled by the country's rising population, urban development, and expanding tourism sector. Experts say that these factors are creating strong demand for bottled water, making it one of the most promising consumer markets in the Kingdom.

Market research by Imarc Group shows that Saudi Arabia's bottled water market is expected to reach $5.5 billion by 2034. This represents a compound annual growth rate of 7.7 percent from 2026, reflecting both domestic consumption trends and broader economic changes under Vision 2030.

The growth is supported by changing lifestyles, as people increasingly prefer convenient and safe drinking options. Extreme climate conditions and limited natural freshwater resources have also made bottled water a reliable choice for residents and tourists alike. Health-conscious consumers are driving this trend further, seeking clean and high-quality water for daily use.

Companies in the sector are reporting strong profits. For example, Al-Jouf Mineral Water Bottling Co., listed on Saudi Arabia's Nomu market, posted a net profit of SR4.36 million ($1.16 million) in 2025. This marked a 51.87 percent increase compared to the previous year, showing the sector's resilience and profitability.

Industry leaders highlight that Saudi Arabia's bottled water market benefits from both international brands and strong local players. Local companies understand consumer preferences and cultural needs, while global brands bring innovation and quality standards, creating a competitive but growing market.

Vision 2030 plays a key role in shaping the future of bottled water in the Kingdom. Investments in water infrastructure and supply not only ensure long-term water security but also make the sector more reliable. With population growth, tourism expansion, and health awareness continuing, the bottled water market is expected to remain a major growth area.
