United States Sends 10,000 More Troops To Middle East

The United States is reportedly sending more than 10,000 additional troops to the Middle East before the end of April. This move is said to be part of efforts by Washington to increase pressure on Iran despite talks of a ceasefire. Reports from officials suggest that the deployment is already underway.

According to information shared with The Washington Post, around 6,000 troops are being sent aboard the USS George H. W. Bush along with other ships supporting it. These troops are expected to strengthen the military presence of the United States in the region as tensions continue.

In addition, about 4,200 more troops are expected to arrive as part of the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and its Marine Corps team, including the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Their arrival is planned for later in the month, adding to the growing number of forces already deployed.

Reports indicate that about 50,000 US troops have been involved in operations related to the conflict with Iran since it began on February 28. With the arrival of the USS George H. W. Bush, the number of aircraft carriers in the region is expected to rise to three, showing a significant increase in military strength.

The other carriers already in the region include the USS Abraham Lincoln and the USS Gerald R. Ford. These ships have reportedly taken part in military actions connected to the ongoing situation involving Iran.

Although the report has not been fully confirmed, it comes at a time when the United States is also enforcing a naval blockade. Officials claim this blockade has reduced maritime trade with Iran, increasing pressure on the country as tensions remain high in the region.
