Residents of Kagarko Local Government Area say bandits now operate freely, facing little or no resistance from security forces. Daily life has been disrupted as fear spreads across affected communities.

Several villages have been deserted following recent attacks and abductions. Community leaders, including respected figures, have been taken by the attackers, leaving residents feeling exposed and helpless.

A displaced resident described the situation as dire, saying their leaders have been abducted and their villages emptied. According to the resident, repeated cries for help have gone unanswered.

The resident warned that the absence of urgent intervention could lead to more loss of lives. Many families are now living in constant fear, unsure of when the next attack might occur.

Residents say the continued presence of bandits has worsened trauma in the area. Those who fled their homes are struggling to survive, while those who remain live under constant threat.

They are now appealing to the federal and Kaduna State governments to act immediately by deploying security forces, securing the release of abducted victims, and preventing further attacks on already traumatised communities.
