Türkiye Warns Israel Against Rising Regional Tensions Escalation

Türkiye has strongly warned Israel against actions it believes are increasing tensions in the Middle East. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that Türkiye would firmly defend its sovereignty and the rights of Turkish Cypriots in the Eastern Mediterranean against any perceived threats.

Speaking at a meeting of the ruling AK Party in Ankara, Erdoğan said Türkiye would not remain silent if the security of neighboring countries such as Syria and Lebanon was threatened. He stressed that the stability of Damascus and Beirut is closely linked to Türkiye's own national security.

The Turkish president accused Israel of pursuing expansionist policies and criticized its military actions in Palestine, Lebanon, and other parts of the region. He called on the international community to take stronger steps to prevent further escalation and conflict.

Erdoğan also compared the world's current response to regional conflicts with past historical failures to stop aggression, warning that ignoring growing tensions could lead to serious consequences. He urged global leaders to act before the situation worsens.

According to Erdoğan, Israel's activities are contributing to instability across the Middle East and the Mediterranean region. He argued that continued military operations and territorial disputes are creating security challenges for neighboring countries, including Türkiye.

The Turkish leader concluded by reaffirming that Türkiye would continue to protect its national interests and support regional peace efforts. He called on countries cooperating in activities that threaten regional stability to reconsider their actions and work toward dialogue and peaceful solutions.
