Afghanistan Earthquake Triggers Tremors in Pakistan And Afganistan

A powerful earthquake struck Afghanistan's Hindu Kush region on Saturday, causing strong tremors across several neighboring countries. The shaking was felt in Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, as well as parts of Pakistan and India-administered Kashmir.

Many people rushed out of their homes and buildings in fear as the ground shook. Residents in Pakistan's Swat district said the earthquake was very strong and lasted longer than expected, creating panic among families.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the earthquake's epicenter was located in Afghanistan's Hindu Kush mountain region. This region is well known for frequent earthquakes because of active tectonic plate movements.

The tremors were also felt in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, the eastern province of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Residents in several cities reported feeling the earthquake clearly.

So far, there have been no immediate reports of deaths, injuries, or major damage. Authorities are monitoring the situation and assessing the affected areas.

The Hindu Kush region experiences earthquakes regularly, making disaster preparedness very important. Officials have advised people to remain calm, stay alert for possible aftershocks, and follow emergency safety guidelines.
