Kuwait's low-cost airline, Jazeera Airways, has introduced a new "fly now, pay later" payment solution for its customers. The carrier partnered with local fintech company deema to provide interest-free installment options, making air travel more financially flexible for passengers.

Under the new system, travelers can divide the cost of their tickets into two to four installments. Deema, recognized as Kuwait's first licensed buy-now, pay-later platform, enables customers to spread payments without incurring interest charges. The move responds to the rising demand for convenient and digital payment alternatives across the region.

The payment feature has been seamlessly integrated into the airline's booking platform. Passengers can check their eligibility instantly during checkout and finalize their purchase without additional financing procedures. This streamlined process ensures a smooth booking experience from start to finish.

The launch reflects a growing trend of collaboration between airlines and financial technology firms in the Gulf region. As digital transformation accelerates, carriers are increasingly embedding flexible financial services directly into their reservation systems to enhance customer convenience.

Barathan Pasupathi, Chief Executive Officer of Jazeera Airways, emphasized the airline's commitment to digital innovation. He explained that the rapid integration with deema represents more than just an added payment method—it offers a seamless, locally developed financial solution designed to make travel more accessible.

Pasupathi added that the partnership empowers passengers to travel immediately while managing payments comfortably over time. By lowering financial barriers, the airline reinforces its broader mission of expanding travel opportunities to a wider segment of society.

Currently, the system supports transactions in Kuwaiti dinars, with the airline receiving full payment upfront while deema oversees customer repayments. According to Bader Al-Ghanim, head of innovation and partnerships at deema, the integration was completed swiftly thanks to the airline's agile team. The initiative forms part of Jazeera Airways' broader strategy to strengthen its digital ecosystem and support Kuwait's expanding fintech sector through collaboration with local technology providers.
