Iran's Revolutionary Guards have issued a strong warning to the United States over its plans to deploy naval escorts for ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. This narrow waterway is a key route for global oil shipments and has recently seen disruptions due to tensions in the Middle East.

The Guards' spokesman, Ali Mohammad Naini, said Iranian forces are fully prepared to respond if US warships enter the strait. He emphasized that Washington should carefully consider past incidents involving oil tankers in the region before taking any action.

Naini specifically referenced the 1987 attack on the American supertanker Bridgeton and other recent attacks on oil vessels. He warned that any attempt by the US Navy to escort ships could trigger a serious confrontation in the strategic waterway.

The Strait of Hormuz connects the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea. It is one of the world's most important maritime passages, carrying a large portion of global oil exports, making its security a major international concern.

Meanwhile, Iran's President, Masoud Pezeshkian, addressed the nation on state television, saying the country would not surrender to external pressure from Israel or the United States. He reassured citizens that Iran would continue to resist despite ongoing military operations.

Pezeshkian warned that enemies of Iran should abandon hopes for an unconditional surrender, declaring that the Iranian people remain determined to protect their nation and sovereignty in the face of international threats.
