A preliminary investigation by the United States Department of Defense has reportedly found that the United States was responsible for a deadly strike that hit a school in Iran and killed more than 170 children. The incident has caused international concern and raised questions about what really happened during the attack. According to early findings, the strike targeted an elementary school where many children were present at the time.

The attack reportedly hit Shajarah Tayyebeh Elementary School, where at least 175 children were killed. Investigators believe the weapon used in the strike was likely an American Tomahawk cruise missile. This conclusion came after experts studied evidence from the site and analyzed different forms of data related to the explosion.

These findings appear to contradict earlier comments made by Donald Trump. The former U.S. president had previously suggested that Iran might have been responsible for the explosion. However, the investigation now points in a different direction, raising more questions about the earlier claims and the real cause of the attack.

The White House has not given a direct response to the investigation's conclusions. Officials have only stated that the investigation is still ongoing and that more information may become available later. Because the inquiry is not yet finished, authorities say final conclusions have not been officially confirmed.

Meanwhile, researchers from the investigative group Bellingcat studied video footage recorded on the day of the attack. Their analysis showed a projectile falling toward a building inside the school compound. The researchers carefully reviewed the footage and compared it with other available evidence to understand how the strike occurred.

Experts also used satellite images to recreate the sequence of explosions. Their reconstruction suggests the school was hit during a rapid series of bombings in the area. A short three-second video shared by Mehr News Agency appears to show the moment the projectile struck a building, sending a large cloud of dark smoke into the sky. The video has since circulated widely online as investigators continue to study the incident.
