Tehran — Early Tuesday morning, US-Israeli strikes reportedly destroyed a synagogue in the Iranian capital, according to reports from Mehr News Agency and the Shargh.

Shargh stated that preliminary information confirmed the Rafi-Nia Synagogue was completely destroyed during the morning attacks. The incident highlights growing concerns about civilian and religious sites being affected by military operations.

Judaism is officially recognized as a minority religion in Iran, and the nation still maintains a small Jewish community. However, many Jewish residents left the country after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, which significantly changed Iran's political and social structure.
