Switzerland's Defence Minister, Martin Pfister, has said that the recent military strikes on Iran by the United States and Israel go against international law. He made this statement during an interview published by the Swiss newspaper SonntagsZeitung. According to him, the Swiss government believes the attacks broke global legal rules that guide how countries should behave toward each other.

Pfister explained that Switzerland's governing body, the Swiss Federal Council, considers the strikes on Iran a violation of international law. These laws clearly state that countries should not use force against another nation unless certain legal conditions are met. Because of this, Switzerland believes the attacks did not follow the rules set by the international community.

The defence minister said clearly that the Swiss government sees the strikes as illegal under global law. He stressed that the rules banning the use of force between countries are meant to prevent unnecessary conflicts and protect peace around the world. According to him, actions that ignore these rules can create serious international tensions.

Pfister also urged all parties involved in the conflict to stop the fighting and focus on protecting civilians. He warned that when military actions increase, innocent people often suffer the most. For this reason, he called for calm and dialogue instead of continued violence.

He further explained that the rule against the use of force applies to every country, no matter how powerful it is. This means that both the United States and Israel must also respect the same international laws that other nations are expected to follow. Pfister said that violating these rules weakens the global legal system designed to maintain peace.

Similar concerns have also been raised by Lars Klingbeil, the Vice-Chancellor and Finance Minister of Germany. Klingbeil said he doubts whether the attacks can be legally justified under international law. Meanwhile, the government of Spain has also criticized the bombings, calling them reckless and warning that ignoring international rules could lead the world toward a dangerous situation where global laws are no longer respected.
