The IRGC statement, carried by Iranian media, says that U.S.-linked universities in the region may face attacks if Washington does not respond to Iran's concerns. This marks a rare public threat targeting foreign educational institutions.
According to the statement, Iran is demanding an official condemnation from the U.S. government. "If the U.S. wants its universities to remain safe, it must issue a formal statement condemning the bombings," the warning said.
The message set a strict deadline for the U.S. response. Tehran's authorities stated that the official declaration must come by 12 noon on Monday, March 30, local time, or retaliation could follow.
The IRGC also issued direct safety advice for people near the universities. Employees, professors, students, and local residents were urged to stay at least one kilometer away from campuses to avoid potential harm.
