The charity organization, known for helping both Muslims and non-Muslims, continues to provide relief to vulnerable people across Nigeria through structured zakat and sadaqat support.
The Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Prince Sulayman Olagunju, announced the intervention during a distribution ceremony held at Hajj Mabrur Hall in Anthony, Lagos. He described the event as the official beginning of the Foundation's nationwide zakat support programme for the year 2026.
He explained that the first phase of the programme covered 64 medical beneficiaries who received ₦85.08 million for urgent healthcare needs. This financial support is aimed at helping patients who are struggling with serious medical conditions and cannot afford treatment on their own.
In addition, 67 students received ₦19.55 million as educational support to help them continue their studies. The Foundation believes that education is one of the strongest tools for reducing poverty and giving young people a better future through proper academic opportunities.
According to Prince Olagunju, the Foundation had also distributed food packs and cash support worth ₦105 million to over 30,000 vulnerable families across Nigeria within the last two months. This brought the total value of recent interventions to ₦209.63 million, showing the Foundation's strong commitment to social welfare.
He praised donors and partners for their continuous support, saying their contributions are helping to change lives and strengthen communities. He added that the 2026 zakat cycle represents a renewed effort to reach more people in need with timely and impactful assistance across the country.
