Islamic cleric Ahmad Gumi has reacted to the reported death of Ali Khamenei, describing him as "a lucky soul" who "died in jihad." His remarks were shared publicly and have since generated discussion across social media platforms.

In a statement posted on his Facebook page on Sunday, Gumi said Khamenei died "in jihad against killers of innocent children and women in Gaza and elsewhere." He framed the late leader's death as one connected to a broader struggle for justice.

Gumi further stated that Khamenei's blood "will fuel the change in the ummah," suggesting that his passing could inspire transformation within the global Muslim community. He portrayed the Iranian leader as someone who stood firmly for what he believed was right.

According to Gumi, Khamenei did not hide in bunkers but remained steadfast in his position despite ongoing tensions in the region. He implied that the circumstances of the death reflected courage and commitment to a cause.

In his message, Gumi also addressed those allegedly responsible for the killing, saying: "For those who killed him or assisted in killing him, let us see what they will live to do in this world." His words appeared to carry a tone of warning and reflection.

Daily Post Nigeria reported that Khamenei, who served as Iran's Supreme Leader for decades, was a central figure in the country's political and religious leadership. He played a significant role in shaping Iran's domestic and foreign policies.

Reports indicate that Khamenei died following an Israeli strike in Tehran on Saturday, marking a major development in regional tensions. His death, if officially confirmed, would represent a turning point in Iran's contemporary political history.
