Iran Denies Kuwait Attack, Accuses Israel Of Striking Facilities

Iran has denied any involvement in the reported attack on Kuwait's power and desalination facilities and instead accused Israel of carrying out the operation. Iranian authorities warned that such actions could increase tensions and cause more instability in the Middle East. The statement came as regional concerns grew over attacks on important infrastructure in Gulf countries.

According to a statement linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the attack on Kuwait's power plant and desalination facilities was blamed on what they described as the Zionist regime. Iran urged countries in the region to remain alert and careful, saying the incident was part of a wider plan to create conflict and instability in West Asia.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Energy confirmed that a power plant and desalination facility had been attacked, raising serious concerns about the safety of critical infrastructure in the country. Officials said the incident happened before midday, but the level of damage was not immediately clear as investigations were still ongoing.

Iran strongly condemned the attack and described it as an inhumane act. The IRGC called on countries in the region to stay vigilant against what it described as American-Zionist attempts to destabilize and destroy the region. The statement also repeated Iran's denial of any involvement in the attack.

Reports also revealed that the Mina al-Ahmadi oil refinery in Kuwait was earlier targeted by drone strikes, causing fires in some operational units. Emergency and firefighting teams quickly responded to the scene, and authorities confirmed that no workers were injured. Environmental teams also monitored the air and dismissed rumors of radiation leaks.

Kuwait remains on high alert as missile and drone interceptions were reported in the air, with sirens heard in several areas. The country relies heavily on desalinated water, making such attacks very dangerous. Officials also confirmed that a similar attack on March 30 killed an Indian national, while Iran again denied responsibility and blamed Israel for the incident.
