Iran has announced a reward for anyone who helps capture a U.S. pilot after an American fighter jet was reportedly shot down over Iranian territory. Authorities are asking local residents to assist in locating the downed crew.

State television showed images of the wreckage, including twisted pieces of metal being loaded onto a truck. These reports follow recent military strikes in Israel, Iran, and parts of the Gulf region.

Officials in the Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province urged communities, including nomads and villagers, to join the search. A broadcast promised a "valuable reward and bonus" to anyone who delivers the pilot to authorities alive.

Iran's Fars news agency reported that military forces had already started searching for the pilot, who was reportedly shot down earlier in the day. The exact circumstances of the incident remain unclear.

The United States Central Command, which manages U.S. military operations in the region, has not yet commented. If confirmed, this would be the first U.S. fighter jet lost inside Iran since military actions ordered by former President Donald Trump.

Experts say downed pilots are trained to avoid capture. They carry survival gear like radio beacons, food, medical supplies, and weapons to signal their location and stay safe until a rescue team arrives.
