More than 3,500 United States troops have arrived in the Middle East as the Iran war continues to intensify. Officials confirmed that the USS Tripoli, carrying about 2,500 Marines, has been deployed to the region to strengthen US military presence and support ongoing operations. The deployment comes as tensions rise and military strikes continue in the conflict.

The US Central Command announced that the USS Tripoli, one of the most advanced amphibious warships, has reached its area of responsibility. The ship can carry F-35 stealth fighter jets, Ospreys, and other aircraft, making it a powerful military asset. It was previously based in Japan before being ordered to move to the Middle East nearly two weeks ago to support military operations.

According to officials, the USS Tripoli brings Marines, transport aircraft, strike fighter jets, and amphibious assault equipment to the region. Another warship, USS Boxer, along with two additional ships and a Marine Expeditionary Unit, has also been sent from San Diego. The US military stated that more than 11,000 targets have been struck since Operation Epic Fury began on February 28.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the United States could achieve its objectives without deploying ground troops, but President Donald Trump must be ready for different possible situations. He explained that US forces are positioned to give the president flexibility in responding to any emergency or change in the war situation.

The conflict has already led to serious attacks, including an Iranian strike on Saudi Arabia's Prince Sultan Air Base, where at least 10 US troops were injured and two were seriously wounded. The war has also affected global air travel, disrupted oil exports, and increased fuel prices due to tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, a major global oil route.

Meanwhile, millions of people protested across the United States under the "No Kings" movement, criticizing President Trump's policies and the ongoing war in Iran. Demonstrations took place in all 50 states and even in cities across Europe and Asia, with protesters raising concerns about immigration policies, economic hardship, civil liberties, and US military actions in the Middle East.
