Iran's President, Masoud Pezeshkian, has declared that the country will never surrender to Israel or the United States. His statement came as the ongoing Middle East conflict entered its second week, highlighting Tehran's determination to resist foreign pressure.

During a televised address on Saturday, Pezeshkian emphasized that any demand for Iran's unconditional surrender is unacceptable. "Iran's enemies must take their wish for our surrender to their graves," he said, signaling the country's firm stance.

The recent escalation began after Israel and the United States launched coordinated strikes on Iran on February 28. These attacks reportedly killed Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, and triggered a wider regional confrontation.

In response, Iran carried out missile and drone attacks targeting Israeli and U.S. interests across the region, particularly in the Gulf. These actions demonstrate Iran's ability to retaliate and defend its sovereignty amid rising tensions.

Pezeshkian currently serves on an interim leadership council governing the country until a new supreme leader is appointed. The council oversees national affairs and has pledged to act cautiously to prevent further escalation.

In his speech, Pezeshkian apologized to neighboring countries affected by Iranian military actions, stating the attacks were not intended for them. He added that the council agreed to avoid further strikes unless Iran is directly attacked from neighboring territories.
